How do you make a Silicon Valley bachelor pad feel like home? This client was looking to upgrade a bland townhouse with new furniture that reflected his personality. Limited to updating only the furniture and art, Laurel Design Collective carefully curated a selection of pieces that would pack a punch. Although the townhouse is a bachelor pad, the design eschews the typical cold minimalism in favor of a friendly, colorful vibe. Vintage and new furnishings mixed together to ensure the space looked collected and timeless. Custom sofas, a rug, and a TV credenza ensured furniture fit the specific needs of the the client. Attention to detail, pattern, and texture create a cozy, curl up on the sofa feel. Selected artwork reflected the client’s personal style as well as the local landscape. Tones of gold, rust, and navy repeat throughout the home ensuring a seamless flow from one space to another. Durability and longevity was central to the decision making process as the space needed to be dog friendly. All FF&E was chosen with flexibility in mind as the client planned to move within the next 2-3 years.
